Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport Announces New Sales & Catering Director

Valerie has been with Hollander Hospitality for over 2 years now, starting out at a Sales Manager at Courtyard by Marriott in Tacoma. In her new role as Sales & Catering Director at our Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport, she is looking forward to leading a team and sharing her well-rounded knowledge of Sales! Valerie says that she grew up in the SeaTac area, and often used to pass by the Crowne Plaza hotel when she was a child; So working at the hotel and being a part of the Crowne Plaza team is both nostalgic and an exciting career opportunity!

When asked why Valerie was chosen for this promotion her manager, Eno Anyang said, "Valerie joined the Hollander Hospitality team at Courtyard Tacoma during the most turbulent time in our industry on record; about one week prior to the pandemic in March of 2020. Although she came onboard without industry knowledge, the talents and skills she brought to the table from her experience outside the hospitality industry created a strong foundation to build her skills in hospitality sales. Through the multiple challenges and trials she has overcome since she began in her position as Sales Manager, her ability to push through and learn, retain, exercise empowerment & resourcefulness, maintain composure, and make great business decisions has made her a valued asset to the team. Her extensive background in service and people management, and her dedication to excellence made her a great fit for the role of Sales & Catering Director. I am truly excited for her continued growth."

An interesting fact about Valerie - she is an avid downhill skier, including Helicopter skiing! She is also the proud mom of two adult children, and just celebrated 25 years of marriage with her husband.
