Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown Announces Claudia Cook’s Promotion to Sales & Events Manager

Claudia has been a valued member of the Hollander Hospitality team for the past year and three months, serving as the Sales and Catering Coordinator at the Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma Downtown. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and brings over seven years of hospitality experience. She also worked as a server and in banquet events throughout her college years.

In her new role, Claudia is excited to continue growing professionally within the hospitality industry, build client relationships, and contribute to the success of the Hollander team and hotel.

When asked why Claudia was chosen for this promotion, her manager, Jessica Odd, said:

“Claudia’s consistently demonstrates strong organization, attention to detail, and follow through. She takes initiative, communicates clearly with clients, and shows a passion for hospitality and sales. Her ability to balance guest satisfaction with the business’s needs really sets her apart. Claudia has grown tremendously in her role as a coordinator- taking up sales responsibilities proactively, building relationships with clients, and showing she’s ready to take ownership of her own accounts. She operates with the mindset of a manager, and this promotion is a natural next step.”

Outside of work, she loves to get outdoors and indulge in activities such as hiking, camping, and running.
