Hollander Hospitality Welcomes Liesl Schoenstein as HR & Payroll Assistant

Liesl brings a diverse background in human resources and communications. She began her journey as an intern at SurveyMonkey, where she gained hands-on experience across all areas of Human Resources over two summers. She later worked at the University of Oregon as a Front Desk Agent and Docent at the Museum of Culture and Natural History.

During the pandemic, she transferred to Western Washington University, where she became the Communications Coordinator for the Center for Canadian-American Studies. After graduating, she stepped into her first official HR role and most recently supported the People Team at Customer.io, an email marketing start-up, as a remote HR contractor working on projects across various branches of the team.

Looking to continue her career in HR and stay rooted in Bellingham, she discovered Hollander Hospitality and felt it was a great fit.

“I’m excited to collaborate with different teams to streamline payroll and HR processes,” she says. “My goal is to help solve challenges and improve internal systems, ensuring employees receive timely, accurate support.”

Fun fact about Liesl - Spanish is her first language. She was born in Santiago, Chile, and lived there until the age of seven.

Welcome to the team, Liesl!
